How it works
Four steps from enquiry to funds
We keep the process lean — most applicants move from first contact to drawdown in four to six weeks.
Eligibility check
Two minutes, five questions. You'll know immediately whether EEIF is a fit before investing time in a full application.
Application
A guided six-step wizard covering Companies House details, recent financials, and what the funding is for. You can save and resume — we keep your progress.
Credit review
A lending analyst reviews your application, asks follow-up questions if needed, and puts together the credit paper. Indicative terms typically within two weeks.
Completion and drawdown
Legal documentation, final conditions, and drawdown to your nominated account. Quarterly reporting begins from the first interest period.
What we'll need from you
- Your Companies House number — we pre-fill entity details from the public register
- The most recent two years of filed accounts (or management accounts if filings are behind)
- Last 12 months of bank statements for your main trading account
- A short narrative on what the funding is for and how it will be repaid
- ID documents for the principal directors (to satisfy KYC requirements)
What happens after drawdown
Once the loan is drawn, you'll get quarterly interest letters and an annual review covering performance against the business plan. Your account manager is the same lending analyst who took you through credit — there's no handoff.
